Has nintendo ever not been able to fix a wii console?

I'm taking a broken Wii console into the nintendo store to be fixed. It's turning on but the games on it aren't playing properly, the damage is internal. The Wii was dropped a couple feet onto a wood floor which caused the problem in the first place. Will they be able to fix it? Has anyone ever had a nintendo device sent in to be fixed and they weren't able to fix it? Do you get your money back if they can't?
